CASE STUDIES

Trusted by Leading Organisations

A private company operating in the leisure and holiday sectors faced operational challenges at one of their holiday parks related to their CHP unit, which included a critical leak from a pipe.

They utilised Canning Generator Solutions’ expertise in CHP maintenance to effectively resolve the operational challenges they faced.

Our engineers undertook a comprehensive 40.00-hour maintenance and servicing project at a Devon holiday park, aiming to address the client’s issues with their CHP unit to ensure operational excellence.

Upon site entry, several concerns arose from the engineers including a leaking condensate pipe on the flue, leading to inadvertent seepage of POC into the room. Recognising the potential risks to those at the facility, our engineers decided to undertake a full service of the CHP unit involving the replacement of vital components including the oil filter, the fine oil filter, and spark plugs, and also changing the sump oil.

The service further included replacing the rocker cover gasket, air filter, and HT connectors. Thorough attention was given to the bund, undergoing a meticulous wipe-down upon completion. The problematic additional condensate pipe on the flue was effectively resolved by capping it off, preventing any further leakage of POC into the room. Meticulous checks on valve clearances revealed no adjustments were necessary and comprehensive readings for parameters like crankcase pressure, working gas pressure, and exhaust backpressure were recorded, providing invaluable insights into the overall health of the CHP unit enabling the project to be concluded.
