The Pramac GGW500G is a 500 kVA gas generator running on natural gas, available on a quote-only basis from Canning Generator Solutions.
The Pramac GGW500G is a gas-fuelled generator set for continuous or standby duty where a mains gas supply is available, rated 500 kVA (400 kW) emergency standby power. Prime power is 450 kVA for continuous running. It is powered by a Generac engine. It is supplied as a non emission certified set, which is normal for standby plant that runs only on mains failure and is generally outside NRMM scope. Output is three-phase at 400/230 V, 50 Hz. This is an industrial rating, covering a factory, a hospital wing or a mid-sized data hall. The GGW Series is a natural gas range from 35 kVA to 750 kVA, suited to sites that already have a mains gas supply. Because there is no fuel to store or deliver, it works well for continuous and long duration running, combined heat and power, and buildings where a diesel fuel store would be impractical.
Gas sets avoid on site fuel storage and the deliveries, bunding and fuel management that go with it, and they run cleaner. In exchange they depend on the gas supply staying up, so for life safety standby cover a diesel set is usually specified instead. Canning can talk through which fits your duty.
No. NRMM Stage ratings apply to Non Road Mobile Machinery diesel engines, so they do not apply to a stationary natural gas set. GGW sets use Generac gas engines and are assessed on gas engine emissions rather than a Stage number.
