The Solution
Coolant System Refresh
The team at M&S Ealing Broadway needed a thorough maintenance job doing on their diesel generator, to ensure the system was reliable, efficient, and capable of immediate operation when required. Ageing coolant and degraded batteries indicated the need for a full overhaul to restore system integrity.
They required an experienced and trusted partner to manage the full scope of works. Canning was appointed to deliver.
The project commenced with a full flush of the coolant system. Out came the old fluid, replaced with de-ionised water and a flushing solution. We ran the generator on load for 30 minutes to get things moving, then drained it all again before filling it with fresh coolant. This removed deposits and restored the cooling system to full performance.

Component Replacements & Upgrades
Next, we swapped out the engine starting batteries (all four of them), ensuring the system would perform reliably when required. Following this, we replaced the charge alternator, air filter, and engine heater, restoring the generator to optimal performance.
Testing & Clean-up
Following completion of the works, a further 30-minute test was conducted to verify stable operation. The controller was put back into auto mode, and we left the generator ready for immediate and reliable operation.
The site was also fully cleaned and reinstated. All waste was removed properly, and we signed out with all permits closed and documentation completed.
