The Solution
The generator at this leading UK supermarket had suffered a core plug failure, a critical fault given its role in maintaining supply during a power outage. On-Site
We arrived on site with two Diperk engineers in tow to carry out the necessary remedial work. Once we were signed in, a clear plan of works was developed in collaboration with the engineers. At the end of the day, effective execution required precise planning, and with time critical, work commenced without delay.
Repairs & Replacements
Firstly, the faulty core plugs were removed and replaced. From there, we fitted new oil and fuel filters, drained and replaced the oil, and topped everything off with fresh coolant. The batteries were also replaced to restore full system functionality.
These steps gave the generator the full refresh it needed – not just fixing the fault, but making sure the whole system was prepared for reliable long-term operation.
Final Testing
With everything back in place, we ran the generator for half an hour off-load to confirm stable operation. Once we were confident the job was done right, we returned the controller to auto and left the generator ready for immediate deployment if required.
