At Canning, we believe strong relationships are the key to a successful team. While our engineers are spread across the country, working hard to keep businesses powered, it’s essential to take time to reconnect. Recently, we did just that by bringing everyone to Liverpool for our Summer Social 2024!
Every year, our Summer Social is the perfect opportunity for team members to catch up, meet new faces, and strengthen those vital team bonds. Plus, we always have a ball!
After all the hard work we’ve put in, it was great to take a step back and enjoy some downtime together, reaffirming our commitment to creating a supportive and cohesive work environment.
Bringing the Team Together
One of the best parts of our Summer Social is getting Canning team members from across the country together in one place. Many of our team members work in different locations, so this was a rare chance for everyone to meet face-to-face.
It was a great opportunity for new employees to get to know their colleagues and for those who’ve worked together remotely to finally put faces to names. Events like this are key to maintaining a sense of unity within the team, making sure that no matter where we’re based, we all feel connected and valued as part of the Canning family.
Ultimately, it’s all about maintaining that “small company” feel we’re so proud of. Even as we grow, we like to keep things personal and approachable. That sense of connection is core to how we operate, and events like this help us build on that.
A Day of Fun and Team Spirit
The day kicked off with some high-speed action at TeamSport Liverpool, where we took to the track for a go-karting session. It was great to see the friendly competition among the team, with plenty of laughter, banter, and a few unexpected racing stars!
After the adrenaline rush, we headed over to PINS for bowling, food, and a more relaxed vibe. The bowling lanes were filled with cheers, banter, and a lot of team spirit as we celebrated strikes (and laughed off the occasional gutter ball). It was a perfect way to unwind, connect with colleagues, and enjoy some well-earned fun together.
